Welcome to TrueVibe. We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a secure, personality-based social platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Application (including mobile and future web versions).
By using TrueVibe, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the necessary data required to provide our unique "Vibe Match" services.
A. Personal Information (Required)
- Account Details: Name, Email address, and Password.
- Demographics: Date of Birth (for age verification) and Gender.
- Location Data: Current city and hometown (processed via Mapbox) to find nearby connections.
B. Psychological & Lifestyle Data (Core Functionality)
To calculate your "Vibe Score" and suggest compatible social connections, we collect:
- Personality Quiz: Data derived from the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) psychological model to analyze your innate behavior and personality type.
- Lifestyle Quiz: Answers based on practical, real-life habits (e.g., eating style, sleeping patterns, daily routine, and life goals) to match you with users of similar vibes.
- Privacy Note: This specific data is used exclusively for the internal matching algorithm. We do not sell this sensitive profile data to third-party advertisers.
C. Optional Profile Details (Blood Group)
To enhance social connectivity, we offer optional matching badges on user profiles.
- Blood Group: You may voluntarily add your Blood Group to your profile. This is completely Optional.
- Usage: Used exclusively to display a "Match Badge" on your profile card if you share the same blood group with another connection. It is not used for any medical or health-related purposes.
- Strict Protection: We DO NOT sell, trade, or share this data with any third parties, advertisers, or marketing agencies.
D. User Content
- Social Activity: Posts, photos, comments, and reactions you share.
- Messages: Text sent between users. (Note: Chats are secured via HTTPS/TLS during transmission and protected by strict database rules, though not End-to-End Encrypted).
E. Device Permissions
To provide essential features, we may request access to:
- Camera: To allow you to take photos directly for your Profile Picture or Posts.
- Storage (Photos/Gallery): To allow you to select and upload images from your device gallery.
- Control: You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time from your device settings.
F. Advertising and Device Data
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the Application. To serve you relevant ads, analyze performance, and prevent fraud, Google AdMob may collect and process:
- Device Identifiers: Including your Mobile Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA).
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the ads (e.g., clicks, impressions).
- Performance Data: Crash logs and diagnostics related to ad performance.
G. Security & Fraud Prevention Data (Automatic Collection)
To ensure the security of your account and prevent malicious activities, unauthorized access, or bot registrations, our system automatically collects your IP address when you access the TrueVibe app. We use this IP address to derive your approximate location (Country and City level). This data is strictly used for security, analytics, 2-Step Verification (2FA), and core app functionality. We do not track your precise GPS location.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:
- To Calculate "Vibe Match": Processing personality logic (MBTI) and lifestyle habits to find compatible connections.
- To Maintain Platform Safety: Identifying and taking action against fake profiles, harassment, or violation of our terms using user reports and block lists.
- Notifications: Sending important alerts regarding account activity and connection requests.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We never sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted infrastructure providers required to run the Application:
- Google Firebase (USA): Used for Authentication, Realtime Database (Chat), Firestore (User Data), and Analytics.
- Cloudflare R2: Used for securely storing Profile Pictures and Cover Photos.
- Mapbox: Used to search and verify locations for profiles. Mapbox does not store your personal profile data.
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and share identifiers with Google to serve personalized ads. You can learn more about Google's data practices here: Google Privacy & Terms.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order).
4. Your Rights and Control
You have full control over your data:
- Personality Retest: Since human behavior can change, you can retake the Personality Test once every 6 months via Settings to keep your profile accuracy up to date.
- Privacy Settings: You can hide your Profile Picture, Cover Photo, or Blood Group from the settings menu.
- Account Deletion: You can request to delete your account directly from the Application (Settings > Account Management > Delete Account).
Data Retention Policy: Upon account deletion, your profile, posts, and personal sensitive data are permanently removed from our live servers immediately. Backups may retain data for a limited period as required by technical necessity but are not accessible.
5. Children's Privacy
TrueVibe is restricted to users aged 13 and above (or the applicable legal age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it immediately.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Application features or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
